Apple raises prices on Macs, iPads, Vision Pro, and more

Apple has officially increased prices across Macs, iPads, Apple TV, HomePod, HomePod mini, and Vision Pro, citing soaring memory and storage chip costs driven by AI infrastructure demand. CEO Tim Cook called the hikes "unavoidable." The iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, and accessories are not affected.

Key hikes include: The iPad (now $449, up from $349), MacBook Pro (now $1,999, up from $1,699), and iPad Pro (now $1,199, up from $999). The average increase across all 15 affected products is $247.

Apple supplier Tata confirms cyberattack after 630GB leak claim

Tata Electronics, one of Apple's key iPhone manufacturing partners in India, has confirmed a cybersecurity incident after hackers claimed to have leaked over 630GB of files tied to Apple, Tesla, and Tata's manufacturing operations. The company says business operations were not impacted.

Hackers claim more than 200,000 files were exposed. Reuters reports the authenticity of the leaked data has not been confirmed. Apple has not commented publicly on the breach.

Camera-equipped AirPods: Everything we know so far

Apple is reportedly developing AirPods with tiny built-in cameras, not for photos or video, but to give Siri visual context about your surroundings. Think turn-by-turn walking directions, object recognition, and contextual reminders, all hands-free.

The cameras would sit inside the stems, with an indicator light that activates when visual data is being processed. A new H3 chip is expected to power the experience, handling some AI tasks directly on the device. Current rumors point to a late 2027 launch, possibly under the AirPods Pro or AirPods Ultra name.
