A Foldable iPhone Could Be Coming in 2026

After years of patents and speculation, Apple might finally be ready to unfold the future. According to new leaks, the first-ever foldable iPhone—possibly named iPhone Fold—could debut in 2026, paired with the iPhone 18 lineup. Here’s a closer look at what to expect.

A Foldable That Feels Like an iPad Mini - The rumored design includes a 5.5-inch outer display for everyday tasks and a 7.8-inch inner screen with a near 4:3 aspect ratio, offering a tablet-like experience in your pocket—perfect for multitasking, watching videos, or productivity on the go.

Fixing the Biggest Foldable Flaw - Unlike current foldables from Samsung or Google that still show a visible crease down the center, Apple is reportedly investing in new display tech to eliminate the crease or make it virtually invisible—bringing a truly seamless screen experience.

A Premium Device With a Premium Price - It’s expected to start between $2,100 and $2,300, significantly higher than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. But with Apple’s reputation for refinement, the premium pricing could reflect a more polished and durable foldable.

Our Take: Apple may be late to the foldable trend—but that’s often its strength. With mature software like iPadOS as a base, and Apple’s obsession with hardware finesse, the iPhone Fold might not just compete—it could dominate.

Meta Says No to Apple Intelligence

Just as Apple began rolling out its much-anticipated Apple Intelligence features with iOS 18.1, Meta pulled the plug—blocking these tools entirely from its suite of iOS apps, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.

AI Writing Tools Vanish Overnight - Apple’s powerful built-in tools for rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text—once easily accessible when typing inside apps—are now completely disabled in all Meta-owned iOS apps.

Genmoji, Stickers & Memoji—Gone or Glitchy - Apple’s AI-generated emoji (Genmoji), custom stickers, and Memojis have either been removed or are partially working. Instagram Stories no longer support them, and keyboard enhancements are missing altogether.

A Quiet Battle for AI Control - While Meta hasn’t issued an official statement, reports suggest this is a deliberate block. Apple allegedly refused to partner with Meta on its Llama AI model due to privacy concerns—likely fueling this move. With Meta pushing its own AI (Meta AI), this looks like a power play to keep users inside its own ecosystem.

Our Take: Meta may be trying to protect its AI turf—but in doing so, it’s undermining the seamless iOS experience that Apple Intelligence promised. Instead of letting users enjoy the best of both worlds, Meta has chosen control over collaboration.

As Apple expands its AI tools system-wide, we could see more friction—and iPhone users caught in the middle of a brewing AI turf war.

Tim Cook Is Laser-Focused on AR Glasses

According to new reports, Apple CEO Tim Cook is all-in on creating industry-leading AR glasses—and he’s not backing down until Apple beats Meta to the finish line. Internally, it’s said to be his top priority, even above other major Apple initiatives.

AR Glasses Are Tim Cook’s Obsession - According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Cook is “hell-bent” on launching a groundbreaking AR product before Meta. Insiders claim he “cares about nothing else” and is pouring his energy into outpacing Meta’s AR roadmap—even as Apple works on a stopgap product in the meantime.

An Interim Solution May Launch First - While true AR glasses are still years away due to major hardware challenges, Apple is developing a lightweight smart glasses prototype—similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban collab. These would feature cameras, microphones, and tight Siri/Apple Intelligence integration, but Apple remains cautious about privacy and media capture.

AR Tech Still Faces Big Hurdles - Building glasses that are sleek, powerful, and affordable is no easy task. Apple still needs ultra-high-res displays, compact chips, and small, long-lasting batteries—all while making the glasses appealing enough to become the “next iPhone.” And they must be manufacturable at scale.

Our Take: Apple doesn’t want to win the AR race by being first—it wants to win by being the best. Tim Cook’s determination signals that AR glasses could be Apple’s next defining product. But in the meantime, we might see a simpler, smart-glasses-style product hit the market—giving users a taste of what’s to come.

With Meta pushing fast and Apple doubling down, the AR showdown is just getting started.

How Apple Trains AI Without Reading Your Messages

As Apple rolls out Apple Intelligence, a burning question has emerged: How does it train AI without violating privacy? While competitors like OpenAI and Meta rely on scraping or mining user data, Apple has taken a radically different—and far more respectful—route.

A new Apple Machine Learning blog post and a Bloomberg report reveal how Apple is building robust AI models without ever reading your emails, texts, or private messages.

Synthetic Data That Looks Real — But Isn’t - Apple trains its large language models (LLMs) using synthetic data—text created by Apple to mimic human conversation patterns. These samples don’t include real user data, but they’re designed to simulate the kinds of messages people write.

Real-World Validation, Fully On-Device - To ensure its AI is learning relevant patterns, Apple sends synthetic message variations to a group of opted-in iPhones and Macs. Devices then compare them against existing local messages (like emails or texts), and only send back anonymized, aggregate feedback—never your actual data or message content.

100% Opt-In and Differentially Private - This process only takes place on devices with Device Analytics enabled, and Apple emphasizes that no identifying information is ever shared. As highlighted in Apple’s blog, the system relies on differential privacy to ensure your individual activity is untraceable—even to Apple engineers.

WhatsApp Now Lets You Create & Share Sticker Packs

WhatsApp just made chatting way more fun. In its latest update, you can now create and share entire custom sticker packs—directly from the app. Whether you’re into memes, emojis, or aesthetic doodles, this new feature gives your chats a serious upgrade.

Create Sticker Packs with Ease - You can now group your favorite stickers into personalized packs and give them creative names. It’s super easy—just tap the pencil icon in any chat, select your stickers, and hit “Add to sticker pack.” No third-party apps needed!

Share Packs in Just a Few Taps - Want to share your creations? Tap the three-dot menu on your sticker pack and hit “Send.” Your friends will receive the entire pack—ready to use with one tap. It’s way better than sending stickers one by one.

Even More New Features - WhatsApp has also added a live online indicator in group chats, better document scanning, and even the option to set it as your default messaging app on iPhone—a surprising move toward tighter Apple integration.
