Apple Sues YouTuber Jon Prosser Over iOS 26 Leaks

Apple’s cracking down on leakers—and this time, a familiar face is in the crosshairs. Apple has filed a lawsuit against YouTuber Jon Prosser and collaborator Michael Ramacciotti, accusing them of leaking iOS 26 details before WWDC 2025 using footage from a stolen development iPhone.

A FaceTime-Fueled Leak: According to the lawsuit, Ramacciotti accessed an Apple engineer’s iPhone using location tracking and passcode tricks—then FaceTimed Prosser, who used the footage to create renders that closely matched iOS 26.

Inside Job Confirmed: Apple says the phone belonged to engineer Ethan Lipnik, who was later fired. The dev device reportedly held even more confidential data than what was shown publicly.

Leaks With Legal Consequences: Apple is seeking an injunction and damages, making it clear this isn’t just about lost secrecy—it’s about setting a precedent for how internal leaks are punished going forward.

This lawsuit could reshape how tech leaks are viewed—are they fair game or a legal liability? Either way, Apple’s making it clear: leaking just got a lot more serious.

iPhone 17 Brings Fast Wireless Charging

Tired of slow wireless charging unless you shell out for Apple’s official gear? Good news: the iPhone 17 is finally breaking free. Thanks to the new Qi 2.2 standard, you’ll be able to charge your iPhone at a speedy 25W—even with third-party chargers.

Fast Charging for All: Before, Apple’s MagSafe was your only ticket to 25W speeds. Now, Qi 2.2-certified chargers from brands like Ugreen or Nomad can deliver the same power. No more being stuck in Apple’s ecosystem if you don’t want to be.

Better Connections, Less Heat: Qi 2.2 makes sure your charger snaps into place perfectly, so you get fewer charging hiccups. Plus, it’s better at managing heat, keeping things cool and efficient.

Loads of New Accessories Coming: Companies are already lining up with Qi 2.2 power banks and chargers. Ugreen, for example, has the first certified power bank arriving later this year.

In short: with the iPhone 17, you’ll get fast, flexible charging without needing to splurge on Apple’s own accessories. That’s a win for everyone.

Foldable iPhone: No Crease, Big Tease!

Big news for foldable fans: Apple’s first foldable iPhone is reportedly on track for 2026, and it might finally solve one of the biggest complaints about folding phones—a visible crease. According to new reports, Samsung Display is gearing up to supply Apple with crease-free foldable panels for this long-awaited device.

Samsung’s Expertise, Apple’s Trust: While Apple has been experimenting with its own foldable screen tech, insiders say the company is putting its faith in Samsung Display for stable mass production. Given Samsung’s years of experience (and impressive displays like those in the Galaxy Fold 7), it’s no surprise Apple wants the best for its debut foldable.

A Risky But Exciting Bet: Foldables still make up less than 5% of the smartphone market, and not everyone is convinced they’re the future. But if there’s one company that can make foldables mainstream, it’s Apple. As analyst Dan Ives puts it, it’s a “risky bet”—but one that could redefine the market, just as Apple did with smartwatches and tablets.

A Partnership Years in the Making: Apple and Samsung Display have worked together on iPhone screens for years. Mike Wuerthele from AppleInsider believes this collaboration has always been in the cards. After all, Samsung’s foldable display tech is some of the best in the business.

Apple is staying tight-lipped for now, but if these reports hold true, the foldable iPhone might finally bring a seamless, crease-free experience—and potentially shake up the entire smartphone industry once again.

Titanium Heads to iPhone 17 Air

According to reliable analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 17 Air could be the only model in 2025 rocking a titanium frame, while the Pro models may surprisingly switch back to aluminum. That’s a twist, considering Apple’s been marketing titanium as the ultimate Pro-level feature for the past two years.

Titanium for the Air: At just 6mm thin, the iPhone 17 Air may need titanium’s strength to prevent bending issues—especially after the old Bendgate drama. Some leaks even suggest a titanium-aluminum alloy to balance strength with lighter weight.

Pro Models Going Aluminum: Jeff Pu predicts the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max will all feature aluminum frames. That’s a shift from the iPhone 15 and 16 Pro models, which proudly flaunted titanium.

A Sustainability Play: There’s logic behind it. Aluminum is easier to recycle, and Apple is loudly pursuing its sustainability goals. But it’s still shocking to see titanium potentially reserved only for the Air model.

While rumors clash about whether Pro models might still keep their titanium finish, one thing’s certain: if the iPhone 17 Air launches with titanium, it could be Apple’s thinnest—and toughest—non-Pro iPhone ever, setting a bold new direction for future designs.

Apple’s Home Hub Stuck in Limbo

Apple’s long-awaited smart home hub is built and ready to go. But there’s one problem: Siri’s brainpower just isn’t up to speed yet.

The Gadget We’re Waiting For: Apple’s new Home Hub—code-named J490—is designed as a hybrid of an iPad and HomePod, with a 7-inch display, FaceTime camera, speaker base, and the new “homeOS.” It’s meant to control your entire smart home, handle video calls, and work as a security device.

The Siri Problem: This futuristic hub depends entirely on the next-gen, AI-powered Siri—one that understands apps, handles complex requests, and controls your home seamlessly. But that upgraded Siri, promised with Apple Intelligence, keeps getting delayed due to bugs and unfinished features.

The New Timeline: Originally planned for March 2025, the hub has now slipped to 2026. Meanwhile, Apple continues testing the hardware internally, but without Siri’s smarter App Intents engine, it’s not ready for prime time.

Bottom line: Apple’s Home Hub is waiting in the wings—but until Siri’s smarter sibling shows up, it’s stuck in limbo. Looks like we’ll have to wait until at least 2026 to bring this next-gen smart display home.

iPhone 17 Pro May Get Anti-Reflective Display

Apple could finally be giving the iPhone display the upgrade it deserves. According to new leaks, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max might feature an anti-reflective screen that’s more scratch-resistant—making outdoor use and everyday durability way better.

Goodbye Glare, Hello Clarity: The new coating—originally shelved earlier this year—aims to cut down on harsh reflections and improve scratch resistance beyond what Ceramic Shield offers today.

Pro Models Only: Apple has reportedly overcome the production hurdles, but this upgrade may be limited to the Pro models. The standard iPhone 17 and 17 Air are unlikely to get it.

A Real-World Upgrade: If true, this will be Apple’s biggest leap in screen visibility since Ceramic Shield, especially for users who hate screen glare in sunlight or want fewer visible smudges.

Whether you’re outdoors often or just want a tougher screen, this Pro-only upgrade might be worth the extra buck. But, as always with Apple, we’ll know for sure in September.
