📢 Promoted Channels in the Updates Tab: Businesses and creators can now pay to boost their Channels in the Updates tab. Promoted Channels will appear more prominently, helping brands expand their reach directly within WhatsApp without interfering with private conversations.

📲 Ads Appear in Status - Not Chats: WhatsApp is also introducing ads within Status, similar to Instagram Stories. These ads will appear between Status updates from contacts, keeping them separate from personal messages and group chats.

🔒 Privacy Still a Priority: WhatsApp says end to end encryption remains unchanged. Ads will rely on limited signals such as location, language, followed Channels, and ad interactions, not the content of private messages.
